Today is the 3rd of Ramadaan 1433, the month in which we as muslims fast (a blessed Ramadan to you!). I wrote a bit about Ramdaan before (last year), but if anyone has a question please feel free to write me or leave a comment. Although I´m going to write about a recipe today, this is not what Ramadaan is about;) It´s a month of silence, a month of re-centering, a month of good deeds, praying and at least an example for the following time. Nevertheless we enjoy baking and handcrafting in this month and today we made some really delicious and super-eays cookies.
Alles was es für die feinen Ghribas braucht sind 400g Mehl/400g all purpose flour, 100g gemahlene Mandeln/100g ground almonds. 100g Puderzucker/ 100g icing sugar, 1 Prise Salz/ 1pinch of salt. 150ml Öl / 15cl Oil, 220ml zerlassende Butter/ 22cl melted butter, 1 Päckchen Backpulver (15g), 1 packet baking powder. Alles gut verkneten, kleine Kugeln formen und ab in den Ofen (180°) – mix all ingredients well, form little cookie balls out of the dough and place them on a tray lined with baking paper and bake them for 15 to 20 minutes. Ein sehr einfach Rezept für zarte Bällchen, die schon beim anschauen auf der Zunge zergehen! Wer mag kann nach Geschmack
auch Vanillezucker und/oder Zimt hinzufügen (add some vanilla sugar and/or cinnamon if you like)
Einen gesegneten Ramadan!
